John Riggins lets Dan Snyder have it:
While I don’t know that Snyder is a “bad guy”, his business practices certainly seem contrary to fielding a winning football team. Heed Riggo!

Dan Snyder represents the 0% financing lets build business empires on other people’s money school of business. His business ventures never really cleared that much money, but declining interest rates basically created an illusion of value. He cashed out and bought the team as people were throwing money at everything that was shiny in the 90’s. His management of the Redskins/Six Flags/and attaching his name to the movie Valkyrie (yeah Nazis aren’t heroes even if they tried to kill Hitler in 1945) basically proves he would be no where with a more sensible financial regulatory scheme. Same goes for Mark Warner.
If the Fed was actually managing the money supply and 0% financing had never passed Snyder would just be a season ticket holder of the Skins at best. Maybe he’d work in the front office.

Bwana:
There is no doubt in my heart or mind that I am an obnoxious, die-hard, bleed Burgundy and Gold Redskin Fan. I was taught as a 4 yr old that “Hail to the Redskins!” held equal importance as “My Country Tis of Thee” in our home growing up. So I support the players and our team, but I am in complete agreement with John Riggins in his assessment of the Skins current owner. He is bad for the team, bad for the league and bad for the sport of American Football as we know it. He needs to sell the team to people who want to REALLY improve the franchise and make it a winner and not make it all about Danny boy!!
thank you Bwana for letting me get that off my chest!!!
Hail to the Redskins!
