I have noted previously that it seems that the Dem big dogs in the 11th do not want to run against Tom Davis, making it a little more likely that Andrew Hurst may get a chance for a rematch.
Anyone wanting a robust discussion on the matter should peek here. However, all these comments still bring us back around to the idea that neither Gerry Connolly or Lesli Byrne have indicated an interest in taking on a sitting US Representative, and they have been counting on Davis running for the US Senate in 2008. However, if Warner runs for reelection, and Davis does the same, will they cowboy up and take him on? Hard to say…and if they don’t, then it would still seem that Hurst has a reasonable chance for a rematch.
We Shall See!!
