Once Again, Bwana Calls It…

Today it was announced that Tim Kaine will become the new DNC chairman.

Wow…and who predicted the same in June 2008?

Yep, you literally read it here first.

OK, it was not a hard prediction…but still.

Tim Kaine must be happy. After all, look how well it worked out for Jim Gilmore when the same pattern happened in 2001. 😉

  1. Actually, if I recall, Jim Gilmore was chairman of the RNC, not the DNC. Apples and oranges my friend. I can’t think of a more miserable job than chairman of the RNC right now. The DNC is poised for some serious growth under the Obama administration.

Republicans can joke about it all they like, but this is a powerful blow against Bob McDonnell’s chances at the Governor’s Mansion.

  2. Gosh, I didn’t say that Gilmore was chairman of the DNC. You might want to reread. I said:

“look how well it worked out for Jim Gilmore when the same pattern happened in 2001”

I suggest that a GOP governor becoming head of the RNC and a Dem governor becoming head of the DNC, especially after successfully carrying their state for the ultimate presidential winner in a critical primary (Gilmore 2000, Kaine 2008)and also after showing a record of successfully bringing their party to majority status in one or both houses of the legislature is(Gilmore 1999, Kaine 2007), is following the same pattern.

  3. Bwana:
In the last three years we have had the most partisian governor since Gerry Baililes. I think it helps Bob McDonnel in his quest to become Governor. Gov. Tim has been one of the most “Much ado about Nothing” Governors we have had. I am glad we have just one candidate for Governor and we can watch the other side beat each other up for a change. Mr McAuliffe saying yesterday that he will not go negative against Creigh Deeds or Brian Moran, yeah right…this is the same man who orchestrated one of the most divisive Presidential primaries and he is one of the Clintons minions. Who is he trying to fool.
