As Virginia Democrats continue to run from the record of the Warner-Kaine administration and pin their hopes on a twenty year old thesis paper, a new word is being injected into the discussion.
The word is: “Deserve”
Ben Tribbett implies Virginia voters deserve to know if Bob McDonnell supported Pat Robertson for President in 1989… I think Ben missed the civcs class on the secret ballot part of the deal.
The Steve Shannon campaign claims Virginia voters deserve to know if Sen Ken shares the philosophy of the McDonnell thesis. I guess there aren’t enough issues to discuss about the AG office…
If the Democratic ticket and it supporters are so hell bent on claiming the GOP should be divulging information that the public “deserves” to have, I think they should set the example so we can see how sincere they are.
I suggest that Virginia voters deserve to know some things from the Democratic ticket members:
-Virginia Voters deserve to know: How Creigh Deeds intends to address transportation issues, or does he really think he should wait until he is elected to let us know what he wants to do?
-Virginia Voters deserve to know: How Creigh Deeds intends to pay for the immense load of new spending he proposed in the last session of the General Assembly (a billion in supplemental spending, for example) and on the 2009 campaign trail?
-Virginia Voters deserve to know: How Jody Wagner thinks that multiple years of misreading the economy and providing dreadfully erroneous economic forecasts even remotely prepares her to be Lt. Governor?
-Virginia Voters deserve to know: How Steve Shannon could be so wildy off base in his analysis of the Supreme Court decision regarding expert testimony in criminal cases? You will recall that Ken Cuccinelli immediately said The Gov should call a special session of the General Assembly to address the issue. Brother Shannon rejected this idea, saying SenKen was grandstanding. You will recall that TheGov did call a session to address the issue, showing how erroneous Shannon was in his thinking. Isn’t this type of legal analysis is a fundamental skill of the AG office?
Yep, there is a lot of information Virginia voters deserve to have-and the vast bulk of it is from the Democratic ticket.
You may as well hold your breath waiting-it’s the only way they are going to get a lot of folks to turn blue this year.
